This week's tip: check your plants.

A lot of homes have a money plant or lucky bamboo placed for good Feng Shui, and then nobody waters it. Yellow leaves, dry soil, a vase of cloudy water.

In Feng Shui, living plants bring in Wood energy and growth. A dying one doesn't help, and honestly it just looks sad in the corner.

Take out anything that's mostly dead. Change the water for bamboo once a week. If you keep forgetting, pick something hard to kill, like a snake plant or ZZ plant, and put it where you'll walk past it every day.

很多家里放了金钱树或富贵竹来招好风水，然后就没人浇水了。叶子发黄、泥土干裂、花瓶里的水都浑了。

If you've seen a Qimen chart and felt lost, here's the layout in plain words.

The chart is a 3x3 grid, nine palaces, based on the Lo Shu square. Each palace is a direction: the top is South, the bottom is North, and the centre is the middle palace.

In every palace, four layers stack up. A heavenly stem pair, a star, a door and a deity. Beginners usually learn the eight doors first because they're the easiest to read in daily life.

Next week in the group we'll go through the eight doors with one example chart. Save this post so you have the grid handy.

People sometimes jump straight to flying stars and directions while ignoring a room that's dark, stuffy and full of boxes. Classical Feng Shui looks at landform first: light, air, what's blocking you, what's behind you.

Open the windows. Fix the flickering light. Then bring in the formulas.

What's one room in your home that never feels quite right?

Viewing a house or condo this month? A short Feng Shui checklist you can do on the spot, no compass needed.

☐ Does the main door open straight onto a staircase going down? Many practitioners don't like this
☐ Is there a sharp corner of another building pointing at your door or window?
☐ Can you see the back door from the front door in a straight line?
☐ How much natural light gets into the living room at noon?
☐ Is the kitchen stove directly under a toilet on the floor above?

None of these is a deal-breaker by itself. They're things to notice and ask about. For a full reading, a compass check of the facing direction comes next.

Here's a story many families will recognise.

A daughter buys a Tong Shu almanac every year for her dad. He checks good days for everything, from haircuts to driving long distance. She thinks it's a bit much.

After he passes, she finds ten years of almanacs in his drawer. Small pencil notes in the margins: 'Ah Mei exam', 'grandson born', 'shop opened'. The almanac was his diary.

Now she still buys one every year. She doesn't always follow it. She writes in it.

Does anyone in your family keep one?

This week, stand at your bed and look around. Can you see yourself in a mirror while lying down?

Traditional Feng Shui advises against a mirror facing the bed. The usual reason given is that it disturbs rest. There's also a simple practical side: catching movement in a mirror at 3am can startle you awake.

You don't need to throw the mirror away. Move it to the inside of a wardrobe door, angle it toward a wall, or hang a light cloth over it at night.

Try it for two weeks and tell us if you notice a difference in your sleep.

Myth: in Ziwei Doushu, you only need to read the stars in your Life Palace (命宫).

Fact: the Life Palace is read together with three others, the Wealth, Career and Travel palaces. This group is called 三方四正. Two people with the same main star in the Life Palace can read very differently once you add what sits opposite and in the triangle.

So if you've seen '紫微 in the Life Palace means you're a leader' online, treat it as the start of the reading. Check the other three before you agree with it.

Most charts are lopsided. You might have four Water and zero Fire. That doesn't mean bad luck. It tells you what the chart has plenty of and what it's short of, and that's where almost every deeper reading starts.

A lot of people come to a reading hoping to hear what will happen to them. Your chart doesn't decide your life. It shows you the terrain: where the road is easy, where it gets steep, and which seasons suit a push or a rest. Can Metaphysics Tell You Exactly What Will Happen?

A useful way to study metaphysics is to think in terms of:

Patterns
Tendencies

Environment
Choices

rather than treating every indication as an unavoidable event.

Imagine a weather forecast saying:

70% chance of rain.

It doesn't mean you must get wet.

You may:

Carry an umbrella.

Change your route.

Stay indoors.

Delay your activity.

This is also one meaningful way of approaching metaphysics.

If we recognise a potential challenge earlier,

we may be able to prepare differently.

Perhaps the value is not simply:

"Knowing the future."

Perhaps it is:

Knowing what to prepare for.

Why Two Practitioners Can Give Different Interpretations
为什么两个老师看同一个命盘，会有不同答案？

This happens in almost every metaphysics system.

Why?

Because interpretation involves layers.

One practitioner may focus on the Five Elements.

Another on the Ten Gods.

Another on combinations and clashes.

Another on timing.

Another on practical life circumstances.

The same happens in Zi Wei, Qi Men, Tarot, Feng Shui, Face Reading and Palm Reading.

It is similar to doctors from different specialties examining the same report.

The underlying information may be the same.

But different practitioners may notice different things.

This is why learning the reasoning behind an interpretation is more useful than memorising predictions.

Face Reading may show whether the person currently appears:

Tired

One gives a structural perspective.

The other gives an observational perspective.

Combining different systems can sometimes create a more complete picture.

The Ten Gods are:

The interesting part is:
No Ten God is automatically "good" or "bad".
Context matters.
A useful star in one chart may become problematic in another.
This is why BaZi cannot be learned by memorising:
"七杀 = bad."
"正财 = good."
Metaphysics is about relationships, not labels.

What Are Feng Shui Flying Stars?

Flying Star Feng Shui uses the Nine Stars 九星 moving through nine sectors to analyse space and time.

The stars are numbered 1 to 9.

But these numbers are not simply "good numbers" or "bad numbers".

Their interpretation depends on factors such as:

Time period
Location
Combination
How the space is used
Relationships between stars

A Flying Star chart may contain:

Mountain Star 山星
Water Star 向星
Base / Period Star 运星

Then yearly and monthly stars add another layer.

So:

One number alone should never be interpreted without context.

Imagine two navigation apps.

Both may lead to the same destination.

But one shows road conditions.

The other shows buildings, landmarks and nearby facilities.

Different interface.

Different information.

Possibly the same destination.

What Is Qi Men Dun Jia Best Used For?

Qi Men Dun Jia is fascinating because it can be used differently from natal systems.

Instead of asking only:

"What kind of person am I?"

Qi Men may ask:

"What is happening in this situation right now?"

For example:

Should I proceed with this negotiation?

Is this project favourable?

Which party has the stronger position?

What obstacle exists?

Should I move now or wait?

Where might the opportunity come from?

A Qi Men chart traditionally examines components such as:

Nine Palaces 九宫
Heavenly Stems 天干
Nine Stars 九星
Eight Doors 八门
Eight Deities 八神
Heaven and Earth Plates 天盘地盘

This is why Qi Men is often associated with strategy, timing and situational analysis.

BaZi Is More Than Your Zodiac Animal
八字不是只看生肖

Many beginners first encounter Chinese metaphysics through the 12 zodiac animals.

But BaZi goes much deeper.

A BaZi chart contains:

Year Pillar 年柱
Month Pillar 月柱
Day Pillar 日柱
Hour Pillar 时柱

Each pillar contains a Heavenly Stem and an Earthly Branch.

That gives us:

4 Pillars × 2 characters = 8 Characters

Hence the name:

八字 — Eight Characters

From these eight characters, practitioners study:

Five Elements 五行
Yin and Yang 阴阳
Day Master 日主
Ten Gods 十神
Combinations 合
Clashes 冲
Punishments 刑
Harm 害
Luck Pillars 大运
Annual Luck 流年

So two people born in the same zodiac year may have completely different BaZi charts.

You've Started to Awaken: 5 Things You Don't Need to Tell Everyone
当你开始觉醒，有5件事不需要告诉所有人

Studying BaZi, Zi Wei, Qi Men, Feng Shui, Tarot or spiritual subjects can change the way you look at people and life.

You begin recognising patterns.

You understand why certain things keep repeating.

You notice people's personalities faster.

You become more aware of your own emotions.

And sometimes you suddenly think:

"I finally understand."

But there is another lesson that comes after understanding:

Not everything you understand needs to be spoken.

Real growth often becomes quieter, not louder.

1. Don't keep explaining how much you have changed

When you begin changing inside, people around you may notice.

"You're different nowadays."

"Why don't you react like before?"

"What happened to you?"

It's tempting to explain everything:

What you learned.

What your BaZi showed.

What your Zi Wei showed.

What you discovered through meditation.

What your Tarot reading revealed.

But genuine inner stability doesn't need constant explanation.

Imagine holding water gently in your palms.

If your hands stay steady, the water stays.

The moment you start waving your hands around to show everyone, the water spills.

Sometimes the strongest evidence that you have changed is simply this:

You react differently.

You don't need to announce it.

1. 不需要一直向别人解释你改变了多少

当一个人开始改变的时候，

身边的人自然会发现。

"你最近好像不一样了。"

"为什么以前你会生气，现在不会了？"

"你最近到底学了什么？"

这时候我们很容易想解释：

我学了八字之后发现……

我看了紫微之后明白……

我修行以后才知道……

塔罗告诉我……

但真正稳定的改变，

不需要一直用语言证明。

就好像双手捧着一捧水。

手稳定，

水就在。

但如果你急着把手伸出去给所有人看，

水反而容易流掉。

真正的改变不是：

"我告诉你我变了。"

而是：

别人慢慢发现你处理事情的方法已经不同了。

2. Don't rush to tell people you have "seen through" them

Learning metaphysics often makes us more observant.

BaZi may teach you behavioural tendencies.

Zi Wei may help you see relationship patterns.

Face Reading may make you notice certain characteristics.

Tarot may reveal emotional patterns.

Qi Men may make you more sensitive to people's positions and intentions in a situation.

Eventually you may think:

"I know exactly what this person's problem is."

Perhaps you do.

But knowing something doesn't automatically mean you should say it.

Imagine telling someone:

"Your problem is that your Seven Killings is too strong."

"Your Marriage Palace clearly shows this."

"Your face tells me you have this personality."

"You're repeating childhood trauma."

Even if part of your observation is meaningful, an unrequested diagnosis usually creates resistance.

People need to go through their own lessons.

Wisdom is sometimes:

Seeing it clearly, but knowing when not to speak.

2. 看懂别人，不代表一定要说出来

学习玄学以后，

我们的观察力可能会慢慢提高。

八字看到性格结构。

紫微看到人生宫位之间的关系。

面相观察一个人的特征。

塔罗看到情绪和心理状态。

奇门观察当下局势和人与人之间的位置。

慢慢地，

你可能开始觉得：

"这个人为什么这样，我已经知道了。"

也许你真的看到了某些东西。

但：

看得到，不代表一定要讲。

如果别人没有问，

你突然告诉他：

"你的七杀太重，所以你就是这样。"

"你的夫妻宫有问题。"

"你的面相告诉我你这个人……"

"你其实是童年创伤。"

结果通常不是对方突然开悟。

而是：

防卫。

反感。

甚至抗拒。

每个人都有自己应该经历的人生功课。

真正成熟的观察力是：

看得到，也知道什么时候应该不说。

3. Don't rush to share every "breakthrough"

One night you suddenly understand something.

Everything seems connected.

You understand why a relationship failed.

You understand your BaZi.

You understand your family pattern.

You understand what your teacher has been trying to explain for years.

And immediately you want to post:

"I HAVE FINALLY UNDERSTOOD LIFE."

Be careful.

There is a big difference between understanding something intellectually and living it consistently.

You may understand:

"Attachment creates suffering."

Until someone you love ignores your message.

You may understand:

"Money should not control my emotions."

Until your business cash flow gets tight.

You may understand:

"I shouldn't be angry."

Until your child refuses to listen for the fifth time.

A breakthrough is a seed.

Don't dig it up every morning to check whether it has grown.

Give it time.

Eventually your understanding becomes behaviour.

That is when wisdom becomes real.

3. 有了顿悟，不要急着告诉全世界

有时候，

我们突然会想通一件事情。

突然明白：

为什么以前那段感情会失败。

为什么自己一直重复同一个问题。

为什么老师以前一直讲那句话。

为什么自己的八字会出现这样的结构。

那一刻真的会觉得：

"原来如此！"

然后很想马上告诉所有人：

"我终于看懂人生了。"

但是要记得：

"知道"和"做到"，距离非常远。

你可以知道：

"执着会带来痛苦。"

直到你喜欢的人不回复你的讯息。

你可以知道：

"金钱不应该控制自己的情绪。"

直到公司现金流出现问题。

你可以知道：

"不要生气。"

直到孩子第五次不听话。

顿悟就像种下一颗种子。

不要每天挖出来看看有没有长大。

让它慢慢生根。

直到有一天，

你不需要解释，

别人已经从你的行为看得到。

这才是真正属于你的智慧。

4. Don't turn your path into everyone else's answer

Maybe BaZi changed the way you understand your life.

Maybe meditation helped you.

Maybe Tarot gave you clarity.

Maybe Buddhism, Taoism, psychology, coaching or spiritual practice changed your perspective.

That's wonderful.

But be careful of this thought:

"Because it worked for me, everyone should do it."

Different people learn differently.

Different people awaken differently.

Different people need different experiences.

Even in metaphysics:

One person understands BaZi immediately.

Another connects better with Zi Wei.

Someone loves Qi Men.

Someone prefers Tarot.

Someone doesn't need metaphysics at all.

Sometimes helping someone is not about giving them your answer.

It is helping them ask a better question.

Instead of saying:

"You must do this."

Ask:

"What do you really want?"

"What are you afraid of?"

"What keeps repeating?"

"What happens if you choose differently?"

Sometimes the right question teaches more than the right answer.

4. 不要把自己的道路变成别人的标准答案

也许八字改变了你。

也许紫微帮助你了解自己。

也许冥想帮助了你。

也许塔罗让你找到方向。

很好。

但要小心另外一个想法出现：

"这个方法帮助了我，所以所有人都应该这样做。"

每个人的人生不同。

每个人理解事情的方法不同。

甚至学习玄学也是一样。

有人一学八字马上明白。

有人看紫微比较容易理解。

有人喜欢奇门。

有人喜欢塔罗。

也有人完全不需要玄学。

真正帮助一个人，

有时候不是把答案告诉他。

而是帮助他问对问题。

不要急着说：

"你应该这样做。"

可以先问：

"你真正想要的是什么？"

"你最害怕的是什么？"

"为什么这个问题一直重复？"

"如果换一个选择，会发生什么？"

有时候，

一个好的问题，比一个标准答案更有力量。

5. Don't try to discuss "awakening" with someone who isn't interested

This is probably one of the hardest lessons.

When you discover something meaningful,

you naturally want the people you love to understand it too.

So you talk.

And talk.

And explain.

And recommend videos.

And send articles.

And explain their BaZi.

And interpret their behaviour.

But they aren't interested.

Then you become frustrated:

"Why can't they understand?"

Perhaps they don't need to understand right now.

A flower doesn't bloom faster because you keep pulling its petals open.

Everyone has their own timing.

Real growth doesn't make us feel superior because we "know more".

Quite the opposite.

The deeper we understand ourselves,

the less we need everyone else to agree with us.

5. 对没有兴趣的人，不需要一直谈"觉醒"

这是很多人最容易犯的问题。

当你发现一个很好的东西，

自然会希望身边的人也明白。

所以你一直分享。

一直解释。

一直发影片。

一直发文章。

甚至开始分析他的八字、性格、人生。

但对方根本没有兴趣。

最后自己反而觉得：

"为什么他就是不明白？"

也许不是他不明白。

只是：

现在还不是他想了解的时候。

一朵花不会因为你一直把花瓣拉开，

就开得比较快。

每个人都有自己的时间。

真正的成长，

不会让一个人越来越觉得：

"我懂，你们都不懂。"

反而会越来越明白：

别人不需要和我一样，我依然可以尊重他的道路。

But here is the real test of awakening
但觉醒真正的考试，不是在你一个人的时候

It is relatively easy to feel peaceful when:

You're alone.

The room is quiet.

The meditation music is playing.

Nobody is challenging you.

Nobody owes you money.

Nobody is arguing with you.

But then you return to real life.

Your child refuses to listen.

Your partner says exactly the sentence that irritates you.

Your parents criticise your decision.

Your client delays payment.

Your business runs into problems.

Your colleague takes credit for your work.

Your bank balance worries you.

Suddenly, all the things you thought you had "healed" appear again.

And this is where real self-awareness begins.

Because your deepest patterns are often not visible when you are alone.

They appear through:

Your spouse.

Your children.

Your parents.

Your siblings.

Your business partner.

Your colleagues.

Your customers.

Money.

Authority.

Rejection.

Expectations.

Relationships are mirrors.

They activate what is already inside us.

一个人静静打坐的时候，

其实很容易平静。

没有人烦你。

没有人顶嘴。

没有人欠你钱。

没有人挑战你。

没有人说你不喜欢听的话。

但是回到现实生活之后呢？

孩子一直玩手机不听话。

另一半讲了一句话，马上触动你的情绪。

父母不认同你的决定。

客户迟迟不付款。

生意突然出现问题。

同事抢了你的功劳。

晚上开始担心钱。

这个时候，

你才会发现：

原来自己以为已经放下的东西，

其实还在那里。

因为一个人独处的时候，

很多深层模式根本不会被启动。

真正会启动你的，

往往是：

夫妻关系。

亲子关系。

父母。

兄弟姐妹。

合作伙伴。

同事。

客户。

金钱。

权力。

被拒绝。

被否定。

期待落空。

关系就像一面镜子。

它让我们看到：

原来自己里面还有什么东西没有真正处理。

Qi Men may show what is happening in the present situation.

Tarot may help you reflect on what you are feeling.

Face and Palm Reading may offer another observational perspective.

Feng Shui may help us examine how we interact with our environment and space.

But no chart can live your life for you.

Knowing "I have this pattern" is only the beginning.

The deeper question is:

What am I going to do differently now that I can see it?

That is where prediction becomes awareness.

And awareness becomes choice.

八字可能让你看到一个模式。

紫微可能让你看到这个模式经常出现在哪个人生领域。

奇门可以帮助观察现在这个局势。

塔罗可以帮助你重新思考自己的情绪和选择。

面相和手相提供另外一种观察角度。

A beautiful house can still have poor functional Feng Shui.

A simple house can sometimes have very practical Feng Shui.

Feng Shui is not about filling your home with lucky objects.

It is about understanding space, movement, direction and timing.

Some people purposely dress down to attract attention, hoping others will underestimate them so they can play the “victim” before revealing their success.

But real life does not need that kind of drama.

Dressing well does not mean showing off. It simply means being neat, tidy and appropriate. It shows respect for yourself, the people around you and the occasion.

You do not need to look poor to prove you are humble, and you do not need to overdress to prove you are successful.

Just be presentable. Be yourself. Nothing to prove.
